"to enable God's missing children
to come home"

We are a family of Christ-followers who have taken to heart the truth of God's grace shown us in Jesus.

We see our family life as a "grace-space" where people can feel safe enough to be authentic and free to move beyond what was to become all that God designed them to be. We express our identity and our mission in the following words:

» We're CALLED to new life and purpose in Christ
» We're solidly COMMITTED to Jesus Christ and to His church family
» We're COMMISSIONED to enable God's missing children to come home
into a relationship with their forgotten or undiscovered father.

» Missed a sermon, or need to listen again?
Please remember that you can order CD’s of any Sunday’s teaching for just R20. Just contact the church office, or chat to one of our sound engineers after worship on Sundays.

» The Global Leadership Summit:
This is for any serious-minded Christ follower, those who help form the core of local churches around the world – small, redemptive communities of faith that are beating back the darkness and showing others the way to life transformation through faith in Jesus Christ.

Far more than an annual training event, the Summit has become a galvanizing event in this worldwide leadership movement. Leaders representing an amazing diversity of race, cultures, ethnicities, languages, and denominations are coming together to give themselves to redeem and restore this broken world.

As God compels, we hope and pray that you will join us in attending the GLS videocast in Bellville on 15 & 16 October – R 465 pp, including materials and refreshments. Book through the church office. More details on www.willowcreeksa.co.za .

» Join a Life Group:
We have a wide variety of Life Groups in SWUC of varying sizes and focus. All include opportunities to grow as a believer and to relate to other believers. For more information about a suitable group in your area, please contact Wendy Louw at the church offices.

» Eagle's Rising Ministry fund-raiser:
Charmian Le Feuvre is planning to do a 500km mountain bike ride with a group of people, starting at Onrus near Hermanus on 2 September, and arriving in Mossel Bay on 12 September. While this is a fun-ride, she would like to make it worthwhile in terms of getting sponsorship for the needs of “Eagles Rising”, which is a Christian Training Ministry to very disadvantaged/abused young adults from the townships, helping to raise them up to a new way of living. If anyone would like to support this venture, you can obtain her contact details from the church office. More about Eagles Rising on www.eaglesrising.org.za .

» We celebrate Holy Communion on the last Sunday (or Thursday) of each month.

Please reflect on Matthew 5:23-24 and 1 Corinthians 11:27-29 in preparation.

In August there will be a special offering on communion Sunday for the ACVV Somerset West, a local welfare agency.
